Exposed + Abstracted is a series of colorful figurative paintings by Los Angeles Painter/ Designer Kristy Kay. Kristy has been inspired by the female figure ever since she started drawing and painting. Throughout her artistic career, her influences and inspirations have changed and matured, but the nude figure remains her center point. After spending 2 years observing naturalistic lighting and colors through painting "fingerpainting" studies on her ipad, and a trip to Spain viewing original works from artists like Picasso, Gaudi, and Sorolla, this series is a culmination of the influences and results in an interesting, colorful, abstract world.
